Samsung is determined to end the life of Galaxy Note 7 by permanently deactivating them

Samsung is determined to end the life of Galaxy Note 7 by permanently deactivating them

Samsung wants to move on to the next chapter of its history and forget the nightmare that Galaxy Note 7 meant. However, there are still 4% of devices that have not been returned, and do not look like they will be returned, as this crisis has made Note 7 an entire article for collectors, with people willing to give up their Warranty and support in order to keep it.

This of course represents a major problem for Samsung, who for months has worked with carriers to send updates that limit the functions of Galaxy Note 7 that have not been returned. But as this has not been enough and Samsung wants to close this shameful chapter, they are now announcing that they will turn off the battery charge through a global update.

Samsung wants to forget Note 7 once and for all
According to The Korea Herald , Samsung will be forcing an upgrade in the coming days to the Galaxy Note 7 that have not yet been returned, update that will disable the load function on the device, and with which they hope to finish collecting the rest of the smartphones.

Remember that Samsung has already sent updates that make the Note 7 can not connect to data networks, and have even been limiting the ability to recharge the battery. But here the problem is that these are updates that must be authorized by the same user, which have not been installed by those who do not want to return the device.

The previous measures have been deployed in certain markets, not globally, but apparently this new update, which will begin shipping next week, will not have to pass through the user and will be installed automatically when the device is Connected to a WiFi network.

Samsung also took the opportunity to update the figure of Galaxy Note 7 not returned, ensuring that only 3% of all devices sold are missing , most of which are in South Korea, Australia and the United States.
