They discover what could be the largest solar system in the universe

They discover what could be the largest solar system in the universe

To say that something in space is "the greatest of the universe" sounds incredible and to some extent we might doubt that assertion. But when he says the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS) then you have to pay attention, because we could be looking at one of those discoveries that will become part of the history books.

A group of astronomers and US researchers, Australian and British, are revealing an important discovery. This is the broader or wider solar system ever seen in the universe , which so far have confirmed the presence of a planet orbiting a star that separate a million million (trillion) of kilometers, approximately 7,000 Times more distance than there is between the Earth and the Sun.

It takes almost a million years to orbit its star
This planet, known as 2MASS J2126-8140, is 11 times larger than Earth and takes 900,000 Earth years to complete its orbit around the sun, the star known as TYC9486-927-1. To put it in perspective, its orbit is 140 times wider than that of Pluto around our sun. Astronomers estimate that the planet has made this journey about 50 times.

TYC 9486-927-1 both the star and the planet 2MASS J2126, were discovered in 2008, but now have realized that both move together. Since its discovery, it was thought that this planet traveled only through the universe, but thanks to the latest data, they can confirm that it is part of this huge system, where it is believed that it could have formed in another system and be absorbed by this star.

Both bodies are relatively young, the estimate is to have about 45 million years after it formed and are located about 104 light years from our solar system. So far they have not detected another planet that is part of this system, but they do not rule out the possibility that there is more at a greater distance, which means that the size of this system could be even wider.
